Disruptive, game-changing innovation can actually be predictable. After this 4-h team working session, we will discover that innovation is strategic and not random inspiration.
We will use the Future Opportunity Map® to predict what kind of innovation is likely to come next in a certain category (e.g. shampoo, beds). The tool brings together two things: (1) emerging consumer needs and (2) emerging innovation news sourced by drawing a genealogical tree of innovation over time not only for the category in focus but also for other categories in the competitive set.
The ultimate output we'll reach together will be a map of what the analyzed category might look like in the future!
